Bladder Stones:

Lucy presented for straining to go to the toilet. It did not take long for us to realise that she had bladder stones. The ultrasound image indicates the stones and as you can see from the photos we removed over 20 stones from her bladder during surgery.
With any luck after analysis of the stones we should, through strict dietary control, be able to prevent them recurring.The stones were about 1cm (!) in diameter and could not possibly have been passed through the urethra. Surgery was the only option for Lucy.
