Megan is the brains trust behind Vet HQ’s seamless daily operations across both Darlinghurst and Double Bay clinics. With 21 years of experience as a Business Manager in the veterinary sector, she brings an accounting and business background to a role she describes as her true passion. From rosters and scheduling to emergencies, banking, marketing, and everything in between, Megan is the “go-to” person who manages crises calmly and effectively.
What drives Megan is creating organisation and structure while streamlining operations, but her real joy comes from helping her team. “I love that they know they can come to me any time of the day or night, and yes, that happens, and that I’ll either know the answer or will find it quickly,” she says. In the high-stress world of veterinary practice, Megan takes pride in being the person the team trusts to minimise impact and get things fixed fast.
Vet HQ is the first clinic Megan has managed, and she wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her connection to the clinic’s core value – we care about people, pets, and our planet- was evident from the start: when she first met Geoff at an Australian Veterinary Association practice tour, a group photo captured everyone standing attentively, except Megan, crouched in the background talking to a cat in boarding.
Her teammates know her as “Charlie” of the Charlie’s Angels, always at the end of the phone when needed. What she appreciates most about the team is their kindness, not just towards her, but towards each other, clients, and their pets.
Outside the clinic, Megan’s passion for animal rescue is evident in her extraordinary menagerie: 90+ parrots, 16 snakes, 12 lizards, 6 frogs, 3 tarantulas, many fish, cats, and a dog. She’s also passionate about boxing. Her go-to coffee order is a piccolo with one sugar, and she dreams of one day owning a white golden retriever. Her motto says it all: “Embrace the grind.”

We have been bringing our pets to Vet Hq in Darlinghurst for almost a decade because, simply, they are the best! Dr Jess Green treats all her patients with thoroughness, compassion and true care. The entire nursing team are also spectacular and we will not be taking our pets anywhere else as long as Vet Hq is around.
