Dash turned seven in December 2020. The day after his seventh birthday, he was diagnosed with histiocytic sarcoma, a rare blood cell cancer. It was terminal and aggressive. They gave him a month to live, maybe four if we went through chemotherapy. We got four, without the chemotherapy and without the sickness and the veterinary clinic-anxiety that would have come with it for my bordoodle.
